Give Love

For this tutorial you will need

* Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Steve Baier which is a PTU Tube which you can purchase from Up Your Art (UYA) HERE

* Masks - I used 2 masks from weescotslass (love her masks)  You can download the masks HERE
(download masks WSL_Mask146 and WSL_Mask130)

* Wordart*

I've used the beautiful wordart "Spring" by jodianncates which you can download HERE

and

* Wordart Love by me which you can download HERE

Let's Begin

In PSP Open up your masks and wordart

1. Open a new canvas 600 x 600 background color white

2.  "Edit - copy", then "edit - paste as a new layer" on to your main canvas the JODIANNsPUspringWA
then reduce the size to 45% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "45%" all layers UNCHECKED and move it towards the bottom of your canvas (about 3/4 down) and  give it a drop shadow of choice.

3.  On your layer palette click on your bottom white layer to make it active and go up to "Layers - New Raster Layer* and flood fill it with a color of your choice.  I chose a color from the wordart I had just added to match it up (I used color #f0579e)

4. "Layers", "New Mask Layer",  "From Image"  When the settings box pops up arrow down and find your WSL_Mask146 (which is your mask) and click "ok"
(see my print screen below for the settings to use)

5.  On your layers palette right click on your mask layer and "merge group"

6.  "Layers - New Raster Layer* and flood fill it with a color of your choice.  I chose a color from the wordart I had just added to match it up (I used color #f1675b)

7. "Layers", "New Mask Layer",  "From Image"  When the settings box pops up arrow down and find your WSL_Mask130 (which is your mask) and click "ok"

8.  On your layers palette right click on your mask layer and "merge group"

(see my print screen below for what I have now)

9.  "Layers - New Raster Layer* and flood fill it with a color of your choice.  I chose a color from the wordart I had just added to match it up (I used color #6ca66e)

10. "Layers", "New Mask Layer",  "From Image"  When the settings box pops up arrow down and find the same mask we used in the previous step your WSL_Mask130 and click "ok"

11.  On your layers palette right click on your mask layer and "merge group" then reduce the size to 95% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "95%" all layers UNCHECKED

(see my print screen below for what I have now)

12. I then added parts of the original "give" wordart to my newly masked layer.  First go up to "selections - select all" the "selections - float" then "selections -defloat".  Next go up to "Layers - New Raster Layer"  Click on your new layer to make sure it's active.

13.  Activate your clone tool

image

14.  Go back to your JODIANNsPUspringWA
You can see my print screen below for the settings I used and you can see the circle around the part of the wordart I decided to use. Using the settings shown below go to the area you'd like to clone and "right click on you mouse" Go back to your main canvas and anywhere on your new layer "left click your mouse" and you should see your flowers appear.  I then repeated the cloning again just using a different part of the wordart.  When you are happy with what you have cloned and added go up to "Selections - Select None)
(print screen below shows settings for clone tool)

(see my print screen below for what mine looks like now)

15.  "Edit - Copy", then "Edit - Paste As a New Layer" your tube on to your canvas.  I reduced the size of my tube down to about 85%.  (Your give wordart should be your top layer on your layer palette and your tube underneath it)  I then erased part of my tube so that some of the tube is showing behind and some in front. The best way to do this is by duplicating your tube and moving that duplicated tube layer ABOVE your give word art.  So on your layer palette you'll have a tube layer on top, then your "give" wordart layer underneath that then another tube layer under that layer.  Click on your top tube layer to make it active, reduce the opacity of that tube layer down enough so you can see through it to your give wordart layer.  Activate your eraser tool and start to erase parts of it until you get a look that you like.  I usually have " edit - undo" a few steps if I don't like what I erased until I get something I like.

(see my print screen below for what mine looks like now)

16. "Edit - Copy", then "Edit - Paste As a New Layer" the LHDGiveLoveWA on to your canvas then reduce the size to 65% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "65%" all layers UNCHECKED. Move the wordart up to the top of your canvas and on your layer palette drag this layer BELOW your bottom tube layer.

17.  Add your name.  I used the font "Jacoba" and set the size to 72.  Match the font with a color from your tube or the wordart.

22. Add your copyright information, save as a jpg (which will give it a white background) or png (close off the visibility of your white background layer) which will save it as a transparent background
and you're

ALL DONE!!

Sample below is the tag saved as a png file with no animation

**Note** My preview shows some "noise" added to my tag. If you'd like to do that as well and don't know how to add noise to a tag you can use the "DSB Flux Filter - Bright Noise". I have written a tutorial on how to use this filter if you'd like to try the tutorial to add the noise to your tag.

You can find the tutorial HERE

Animation really isn't necessary with this tag as it looks just as nice without ;)

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and as always I love to see your results and would love even more to post them on my website on the "Tutorials Results" page. Just go to my "contact me" page and send me a message.
