Talks To Angels

For this tutorial you will need

* Tube of choice, I am using the work of Popeye Wong. It is a FTU Tube which I have included in the supplies folder.  You can visit Popeye Wong's website at www.popeyewong.com

(or you can use any tube you like.)

* The AWESOME Butterflies In Flight Scrap Kit I used is from Dezigns By Staci which is a FTU kit which you can download from her blogspot HERE

* Wordart included in supplies folder

* Font of Your Choice

You can download the supplies HERE

Let's Begin

1. Open a new canvas 600 x 600 transparent background

2. From the Butterflies In Flight scrap kit open up the Purple Flower Frame 2, edit, copy and edit, paste as a new layer on to your new canvas, then reduce size to 90% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "90%" all layers UNCHECKED

3.  Take your magic wand tool and click inside the frame until you have marching ants
The best settings I found to do this with are as follows;
(see print screen below)
Mode: Add(shift), Match mode: RGB Value, Tolerance: 102, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-alias checked, Inside
image

4. "Selections", "Modify", "Expand" and choose "15"

5. Open up paper 4 from the scrap kit and
"Selections", "Select All" then "Edit", "Copy" go back to you main canvas and "edit" , "paste as a new layer".

6. "Selections", "invert" then hit your "delete key" on your keyboard. Move this layer below your  frame layer. "Selections", "Select None".
(see my print screen below for what I have now)

7.  On your layer palette click on your flower frame to activate it and go to "Adjust",  "Blur",  "Gaussan Blur" and choose "5" for the Radius

8.  Now go to "Effects",  "Texture Effects",  "Mosaiac Glass"  and use the default settings.

9.  Add a drop shadow
(see my settings in the print screen below)

10.  From the Butterflies In Flight scrap kit open back up the Purple Flower Frame 2, (you may still have it open it PSP). "edit", "copy" and "edit, paste as a new layer" on to your new canvas, then reduce size to 90% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "90%" all layers UNCHECKED
(see my print screen below for what I have now)

11.  From the Butterflies In Flight scrap kit open back up the White Frame.

12.  Take your magic wand tool and click inside the frame until you have marching ants
Use the same settings we did previously
Mode: Add(shift), Match mode: RGB Value, Tolerance: 102, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-alias checked, Inside
image

13. "Selections", "Modify", "Expand" and choose "5"

14. Open up paper 3 from the scrap kit and go to
"Selections", "Select All" then "Edit", "Copy" go back to you main canvas and "edit" , "paste as a new layer".

15. "Selections", "invert" then hit your "delete key" on your keyboard. Move this layer below your  frame layer. "Selections", "Select None".

16.  Add a drop shadow to the Frame layer
(see my settings below)

17.  Apply the same drop shadow again only changing the vertical and horizontal to -4

18.  On your layer palette right click on either layer and
"merge visible"
(see my print screen below for what I have now)

19.  "Edit", then go back to your main canvas and "paste as new layer".  Make sure you move the white frame layer inbetween your 2 flower frame layers.
(see my print screen below)

20.   Open up the wordart "She Talks To Angels" and "edit", "copy" and go back to your main canvas and "edit", "paste as a new layer" I moved mine over to the left of the white frame layer then gave it a drop shadow.
(see my settings below)

21.  Open up your tube and paste on to your canvas.  I moved my tube over to the right slightly so you can see the wordart
(see my print screen below for what I have now)

22.  Now you can add your name.  I used a script font for mine and added the same drop shadow as I just did to the word art.

23.  Add the appropriate copyright information and you're ALL DONE!!

A little tip for you. You can save it as a jpg file OR you can turn off the visibility of your bottom white layer by clicking on the eye beside in on your layer palette and save it as a png file.  (This will give it a transparent background)
