Red Hot

For this tutorial you will need

* Tube of choice, I am using the work of Jessica Dougherty. It is a PTU Tube which you can purchase from CDO HERE

(or you can use any tube of your choice)

* Alien Skin Eyecandy 5 - Textures - Marble
* Alien Skin Eyecandy 4000 - Gradient Glow

(These are pay filters. If you don't have them go to google and search for them. You can download a trial copy if you like.  You can also use the "Textures" feature right in your PSP for a different background effect if you like) and the drop shadow function for the gradient glow part.

2 Fonts Of Your Choice
(one a thicker font the other more of a script type font)

* Animation Shop

Let's Begin

1. Open a new canvas 550 x 350 black background

2.  Go to
"Effects", "Plug-Ins", "Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Textures - Marble"
(note for the background color in the marble settings,  set it to black and the "vain" color choose a color that matches your tube. In my case I used red)
(use the settings I have shown in the print screen below)

3.  Choose your "selections tool", "selection type - circle".  Draw a circle near the top left hand side of your canvas
(see my print screen below for where I placed mine)

4.  "Layers", "New Raster Layer" and with your flood fill tool fill it with the color black then
"Selections", "Select None"

5.
Go to
"Effects", "Plug-Ins", "Alien Skin Eye Candy 4000 -Gradient Glow"
(see my print screen below for what settings I used)

6.  On your layer palette right click on your circle layer and "duplicate" then "image", "mirror"
(see my print screen below for what mine looks like now)

7.  On your layers palette click on your left circle layer to make it active then take your magic wand tool and
click inside the circle until you have marching ants
The best settings I found to do this with are as follows;
(see print screen below)
Mode: Add(shift), Match mode: RGB Value, Tolerance: 102, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-alias checked, Inside

8.  Open your tube in PSP and "edit" "copy" then back to your main image and "edit", "paste as new layer"  move whatever part of your tube you'd like shown in the circle.  In my case I did her face. then "selections", "invert" and hit your delete key on your keyboard. On your layer palette change the "blend mode" to "Hard Light".  Do the same steps to your right circle and paste either a different tube (has to be the same artist's tube) or just a different part of the main tube.
(see my print screen below for what mine looks like now)

9.
Choose your "selections tool", "selection type - rectangle".  Draw a rectangle starting from the left side along the bottom right over to the right side
(see my print screen below for where I placed mine)

10.  "Layers", "New Raster Layer" and flood fill it with the color black then I gave it a gradient glow same settings as I did the circles.
"Selections" "Select None"

11.  Open back up your main tube and "edit", then "copy" back to your main tag and
"edit", "paste as a new layer"
(see my print screen below for what mine looks like now)

12.  Activate your text tool and using a wider more solid font type out the word "Red Hot" using a color to match your tube.  I used a red color.  Once done Move it over to the left of the black at the bottom then "adjust", "add/remove noise", "add nose" and use the settings I've shown in the print screen below

13.  Activate your text tool and using a script type font using a color to match your tube (I used a brighter red) type out your name and move it over to the right.  You can even overlap it a bit with the word Red Hot.  Once happy reduce the opacity down to about 60%
(see my print screen below for what mine looks like now)

14.  Add your copyright information

**Note**
We are about to add a border to our tag.  When we do this it will end up merging all the layers on to one so what I do before I do that is save the tag as a PSP file and hang on to it just in case you want to alter  one of the layers at a later date.

15.  Go to "Image", "Add Border" and use the settings I've shown in the print screen below.  Choose a color to match your tube.  I used a red color

16. Go to "Image", "Add Border" and use the settings I've shown in the print screen below.  Choose the color black

17.   Go to "Image", "Add Border" and use the settings I've shown in the print screen below.  Choose a color to match your tube.  I used a red color

18.  With your magic wand tool (use the same settings as we did previously) click inside the black part of the frame to select.

19.   Go to
"Effects", "Plug-Ins", "Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Textures - Marble" and use the same settings as we did in step #2

20.  Go to "Effects", "3D Effects#, "Inner Bevel" and use the settings as shown in the print screen below

21.  On your layer palette "right click" and "duplicate" then do it again so you now have
3 layers

22. On your layer palette click on your BOTTOM layer to make it active then go to "Adjust", "Add/Remove Noise", "Add Noise" and use the settings shown in the print screen below.

23.   On you layer palette click on your MIDDLE layer to make it active then go to "Adjust", "Add/Remove Noise", "Add Noise" and use the same settings except change the
"Noise percentage" to 25%

24.  On you layer palette click on your TOP layer to make it active then go to "Adjust", "Add/Remove Noise", "Add Noise" and use the same settings except change the
"Noise percentage" to 30%

25.
"Selections", "Select None"

TIME TO TAKE IT INTO ANIMATION SHOP
