AUTUMN WITH MYTH

For this tutorial you will need

*  Scrap Kit -  I used this absolutely gorgeous PTU kit (Autumn Glory) by Mythical Designs which can be purchased HERE

* Tube - I used the fabulous artwork of Ismael Rac which is a PTU tube which you can purchase from his store HERE

*********************

Let's get started.

From the scrapkit open up the following in PSP;
MD_Element1_AutumnGlory
MD_Element4_AutumnGlory
MD_Element5_AutumnGlory
MD_Element8_AutumnGlory
MD_Element10_AutumnGlory
MD_Element23_AutumnGlory
MD_Element30_AutumnGlory
MD_Paper3_AutumnGlory

1.  Open a new canvas 600 x 600 white background

2.  Click on your MD_Element4 in PSP then "edit", "copy" then on your main canvas "edit", "paste as new layer" then decrease the size to 45% by going to
"Image" , "Resize" "45%" all layers UNCHECKED.

3.  Click on your MD_Element10 in PSP then "edit", "copy" then on your main canvas "edit", "paste as new layer" then decrease the size to 55% by going to
"Image" , "Resize" "55%" all layers UNCHECKED.

4.  Take your magic wand tool and
click inside the inside the circular wreath (Element 10 that you just added) until you have marching ants
The best settings I found to do this with are as follows;
(see print screen below)
Mode: Add(shift), Match mode: RGB Value, Tolerance: 102, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-alias checked, Inside

5.
"Selections", "Modify", "Expand" and choose "5"

6.  Open a paper of choice, I chose MD_Paper3.   "Edit", "Copy" then back to your main canvas and "edit", "paste as a new layer".  "Selections" "Invert" (make sure you're on your paper layer) and hit your "delete" key on your keyboard.  On you layers palette move your paper layer UNDER your wreath layer
"Selections - Select None"
(see my print screen below for what I have)

7.  Click on your MD_Element23 in PSP then "edit", "copy" then on your main canvas "edit", "paste as new layer" then decrease the size to 70% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "70%" all layers UNCHECKED.  On you layer palette right click on your MD_Element23 layer and "duplicate" then go up to "Image", then "mirror".
On your layer palette click on your top MD_Element23 layer then right click and "merge down" (merging your 2 MD_Element23 layers on to 1)
(on your layer palette make sure this merged layer is under your wreath layer and above your paper layer)

8.
Click on your MD_Element30 in PSP then "edit", "copy" then on your main canvas "edit", "paste as new layer" then decrease the size to 65% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "65%" all layers UNCHECKED and move it over to the left hand side of your wreath
(see my print screen below for what I have now)

9.
Click on your Tube in PSP then "edit", "copy" then on your main canvas "edit", "paste as new layer".  Move your tube into the centre of your wreath.  I then took my eraser tool and erased the bottom part of the tube that is overlapping the bottom of the wreath so it looks like she's coming out of the wreath.
A quick little tip for you when erasing something this way.  On your layer palette reduce the opacity of your tube layer down until you can just see your layer below it.  Use that as a guideline to help you know where to erase the tube. Once you're done put the opacity back up to 100%. Remember if you don't like what you've done you can always "Edit - undo" and try it again.

10.  Click on your MD_Element1 in PSP then "edit", "copy" then on your main canvas "edit", "paste as new layer" then decrease the size to 35% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "35%" all layers UNCHECKED and move it over to the left BOTTOM side of your frame so it's sitting over top the bottom stem of the last element you just added. (Element 30)

11.
Click on your MD_Element5 in PSP then "edit", "copy" then on your main canvas "edit", "paste as new layer" then decrease the size to 30% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "30%" all layers UNCHECKED and move it over to the left BOTTOM side of your frame

12.  Click on your MD_Element8 in PSP then "edit", "copy" then on your main canvas "edit", "paste as new layer" then decrease the size to 60% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "60%" all layers UNCHECKED and move it over to the left BOTTOM side of your frame over top of the centre of your bow.
(see my print screen below for what I have now)

13.  With your text tool type out your name.

14.  Add the artist copyright information and save as a jpg or png file
(If you'd like a transparent background click on the eye on your layer palette to the left of your bottom white layer to hide it then save your tag as a png file)

ALL DONE!!

**Note** My preview shows some "noise" added to my tag. If you'd like to do that as well and don't know how to add noise to a tag you can use the "DSB Flux Filter - Bright Noise". I have written a tutorial on how to use this filter if you'd like to try the tutorial to add the noise to your tag.

You can find the tutorial HERE

Animation really isn't necessary with this tag as it looks just as nice without ;)
(below sample saved as a png file)

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial
