PURPLE CHRISTMAS

For this tutorial you will need

* Tubes of choice, I am using the work of Ismael Rac.  It is a PTU Tube which you can purchase from AMI at
HERE
* Scrap Kit I used is from Baby Cakes Scraps called "Angel Kiss" which you can purchase from Baby Cakes Scraps BlogHERE
DSB Flux Filter which you can download HERE
(this filter is used if you want to animate your tag)

Font Of Your Choice

Let's Begin

1.  Open a new canvas 600 x 600 white background

2.  From the Angel Kiss Scrap Kit open up the BCS wreath, copy and paste as a new layer on to your new canvas, then reduce size to 45% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "45%" all layers UNCHECKED

3.  Adjust Sharpeness, Sharpen

4  From the Angel Kiss Scrap Kit open up the BCS Silver Glitter, copy and paste as a new layer UNDER your wreath layer on to your new canvas, then reduce size to 65% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "65%" all layers UNCHECKED

5. Adjust Sharpeness, Sharpen

6.  From the Angel Kiss Scrap Kit open up the BCS Large Bling, copy and paste as a new layer UNDER your Silver Glitter layer on to your new canvas.

7.  Duplicate  your large bling layer then go to "image", "mirror"

You should now have 5 layers.  Starting from top to bottom top layer should be your wreath layer, under that your Silver Glitter layer then the two layers below that your bling laters and your very bottom is your white background layer.  See my print screen below to see what you should have.

8.  Click on your BCS Large Bling 2 layer to make it active (3rd layer from the bottom), right click on it and "merge down" to merge your 2 large bling layers together.  That will now leave you with 4 layeres in total.

9. Add the following drop shadow to all your layers except the bottom white layer - Effects, 3d, drop shadow V-3, H-2 Opaciy - 20, Blur - 3

10. From the Angel Kiss Scrap Kit open up the BC Glitter Swirl copy and paste as a new layer UNDER your wreath layer on to your new canvas, then reduce size to 30% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "30%" all layers UNCHECKED and move it to the bottom right corner of wreath (see my tag for reference)

11.  Adjust Sharpeness, Sharpen

12.  Add the same drop shadow as previous.

13. Copy and paste the tube of your choice and place it in the centre of the wreath. What I did was erased a bit on the bottom of my tube to make it look like she's coming out of the wreath

14.  Add the same drop shadow as previous.

15. From the Angel Kiss Scrap Kit open up any of the christmas ornament balls paste as a new layers and resize to the preferred sizes.  I used BCS Blue ornament, BCS Blue Jewel Ornament, BCS Blue Ball Ornament and place on upper left hand side of wreath. (see my tag for reference)

16.  Add the same drop shadow as previous.

17. From the Angel Kiss Scrap Kit open up  open the bcs bow two copy and paste it as a new layer and resize 50% and add it to the top left side of wreath. I put mine right above the christmas ornament balls to make it look like they were hanging from the bow (see my tag for reference)

18.  Add the same drop shadow as previous.

See my print screen below for what your tag should look like so far (or close to)

Not it's time to add your name

19. I used Edit Invitation size 72 Background and Fill Properties #432e6e Foreground and Stroke Properties #cecfeb Stroke width 2
Type out the name you'd like on you tag

20. Add the same drop shadow as previous to your name

21.  Add all proper copyright information

YOU'RE DONE You can now save it as a jpg file.

If you'd like to do the animation which I've added to my tag you can continue below.

ANIMATION

Please note that when writing this tutorial I assume you have some experience in animation.  I haven't provided any print screens and this is a basic step procedure on how to add the noise to the tag.  If you would like more detailed instructions on how to add noise to an image please do my "adding noise to an image"  tutorial which you can find HERE

* In your layers palette, click on your layer that you’d like to add noise to. In my case I added noise to the BCS Large Bling Layer

* Right Click on  “BCS Large Bling Layer" and "duplicate". Rename this Layer" BCS Large Bling Layer 2"

·          Right Click on BCS Large Bling Layer2" and "duplicate. Rename this Layer "BCS Large Bling Layer 3"

* Hide your "BCS Large Bling Layer2" and " BCS Large Bling Layer 3" layers by clicking on the eye. You will see a red x appear over the eye.

*
Now make sure you have your "BCS Large Bling Layer"  activated by clicking on it.

* Now go to "Adjust", "Add/Remove Noise", "Add Noise" (you will find Adjust along the top of your drop down menu's)
Use the following settings

·          Uniform checked, Noise 30% monochrome checked

*Hide your "BCS Large Bling Layer" by clicking on the "eye".

*Click on "BCS Large Bling Layer 2" and unhide this layer by clicking on the eye and make sure you activate the layer by clicking on it.

* "Adjust", "Add/Remove Noise", "Add Noise" the same except for the percentage. Change that to 35%

* Hide your "BCS Large Bling Layer 2" Layer by clicking on the "eye".

* Click on "BCS Large Bling Layer 3" and unhide this layer by clicking on the eye and make sure you activate the layer by clicking on it.

* "Adjust", "Add/Remove Noise", "Add Noise" the same except for the percentage. Change that to 40%

. * Go to "Selections", "Select None" (you can find selections along the top of your drop down menus)

**NOW IT'S TIME TO ANIMATE YOUR IMAGE**

* Open up your Animation Shop

* Once Animation Shop has opened, go back to your Paint Shop Pro.

* Hide your " BCS Large Bling Layer 3" Layer, click on your " BCS Large Bling Layer" Layer and unhide it.

* Along the top of your drop down menus choose "Edit", "Copy Merged"

* Go to Animation Shop and along the top of your drop down menu's choose "Edit" "Paste as New Animation"

* Go back to Paint shop Pro. Hide your " BCS Large Bling Layer" Layer, Click on " BCS Large Bling Layer 2" and uhide it.

* Along the top of your drop down menus choose "Edit", "Copy Merged"

* Go to Animation Shop and along the top of your drop down menu's choose "Edit" "Paste after Current Frame"

* Go back to Paint shop Pro. Hide your " BCS Large Bling Layer 2" Layer, Click on " BCS Large Bling Layer 3" and uhide it.

* Go to Animation Shop and along the top of your drop down menu's choose "Edit" "Paste after Current Frame"

* You should now have 3 frames in Animation Shop.

What I like to do now is take a look at it and see how it will look before I save it. You can do this by going to the top of your drop down menu's and clicking on "view" "animation" You can see exactly how it will look. **

Here's another tip for you. You can change the speed of your noise. You will do this by first clicking on "Edit" "Select all".

* Next go to the top of your drop down menu's and choose "Animation" "Frame Properties" you will see a box appear

You can now change the display time of the image (the speed). The higher the number, the slower the animation will be. The lower the number the faster the animation will be. This is a lot of fun to play around with. This is also where you can change the speed of an existing animation. For example if you like an animation already done, but want to slow it down or speed it up, you can just open it up in animation shop, and go to the Frame Properties and play around with different speeds.

If you like the speed that it is at. (I left mine at 10) You can now save your image.

Once happy Save your tag.
